Welcome, Students! I hope you are excited to jump back into the assignments! This assignment will be easy for some, and will a real stretch for others. All you need to do is create a layout with at least one *homemade* clear embellishment. It can be a transparency you printed off the computer or stamped yourself. It can be a ghost shape you cut from a strawberry (or other) clear box. Use your imagination! For mine, I took some polyshrink plastic I got from a local fine paper store, cut letters on my cricut, and shrank them in the oven! I used them to create the title word "soar." Have fun with this one, and push yourselves to try something new! This assignment is worth 100 Shop Points.

I can't wait to see everyone's creations! You can also make a clear embellishment from UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel). Here's another clear embellishment I made awhile back... cut the arrow from some packaging material and painted the edges white.

Hey, Michelle!
What setting do you use on your Cricut for cutting transparencies. I tend to use 3 and 4 (for cardstock and patterned paper). Thanks in advance!

Hey, Michelle! What setting do you use on your Cricut for cutting transparencies. I tend to use 3 and 4 (for cardstock and patterned paper). Thanks in advance! Lori, I made the pressure as high as possible and adjusted the blade to be out as much as possible. It still didn't cut quite all the way through. So I took a craft knife, and started to cut along the cricut cuts... just a little to get it started, then I could just pull the letters out... sort like "unzipping" them from the background. Does that make sense?
